Crawl Space Vents

The crawl space vents have been constructed, primed and painted. I went all over town searching for the correct "hardware cloth" to cover the inside of the vents - to keep the critters out. Now if we can just get them installed!

Brick Steps

Our brickmason poured the concrete pad and built our front steps this week. The brick we picked out is called Old Savannah with gray mortar. I think they turned out pretty nice.

Porches

The front and back porch railings have now been completed! Yeah! It's about time. We closed in the back porch for now in anticipation of a new deck. The front porch railing is being built right now and should be complete by the end of the week. My little guy found a fun spot to hang out on the new front porch.

Firepit

Our new firepit is now in the works. Our brickmason marked the spot and got to work. It's going to be brick and 4 foot across when it's finished. What fun it will be when we finally get into the house! I can't wait...

New Paint Color!

We finally decided on a new exterior paint color. Sherwin Williams Tea Chest is the color I originally picked out for the house. Yeah! I think it looks great with the cream trim. We are going to have the foundation painted 2 shades lighter - Sherwin Williams Sands of Time and the foundation vents and HVAC unit will be black.

Porch Ceiling

We decided on a Charleston Piazza Blue ceiling color for our front and back porches. I think it's going to look great on the beadboard and will add a nice touch to the house. Can't wait to see it when the trim is all painted.

Washer/Dryer

This is my new washer/dryer set from HH Gregg. They have been sitting at their warehouse for over a month now and I can almost hear them calling out to me. I can't wait to use them in the new house. I just can't tell you how excited I was to get the RED set I wanted. They were having a great sale and they were just callin' my name.
